FNM and FRE Hold Shotguns To The Taxpayer's Head

Please re-read my post from Dec 21 and then read below:  Americans Get Desperate

It's a Happy Holiday season for the crooks running our system and paying themselves with YOUR money.  Please remember that FNM and FRE are wards of the U.S. Government, which means every cent going to the people running them comes from YOU:

Big paydays for Fannie and Freddie bosses

Don't forget to think about the Obamas enjoying Christmas in Hawaii on a vacation paid by you while millions suffer.  I heard many horror stories from a family member last night who volunteers at the Jeffco Action Center - a place where those in need can go and get clothing, toys and food for their families.  Moreover, all the Denver-area rescue centers are in desperate need of food and clothing donations, while Obama is stuffing his fat-lipped face with lots of Christmas prosperity.

Merry Christmas and a belated Happy Hanukkah to all.

  1. Amazing how the media was all over Pres Bush for his trips with nary a word about this Junket to Hawaii. But the real issue is one of leadership: and we are not seeing any from President Obama and his administration and most of Congress. In fact the Copenhagen affair early this month was an education in the failure to lead by many parties.

Dave: you are preaching to the choir.

Obama was right on one thing he said: he said (I presume in general) America was arrogant, derisive and devisive.

He, the adm and Congress are great role models for that style.

all have a great and safe holiday season!

  2. Hal, Obama showed his political incompetence in Copenhagen. Wen Jiabao completely ate him alive and it was a pleasure to watch.

  3. Lets face it, every government runs on taxes. Government officials are employees of the state and they are paid and treated as such.

  4. We the people chose this political system through our collective will in votes.

  5. He has one goal in mind--health care--everything else was a smoke screen. And his league of constituents who voted him in for the free lunch wil get a watered down version of it that still will be unaffordable--in an ocean of unaffordable initiatives called entitlements.
His political savvy is nil. The needed reforms on Wall Street and in DC cannot be legislated because of special interests.

Rather, we get the Rahm Emanuael style.

  7. Dave,
another tough one for the Broncos. They still have good chances for the playoffs though. I almost did not recognize the Patriots today, they looked pretty good!

  8. Just a funny clip, not dirty or anything, totally unrelated to the topic at hand.

  9. @gyc: they had Philly pinned deep in their own territory, 3rd and 25 and they let McNab scramble to get the 1st. If Denver could have stopped them there, they might have won.

Oh well. They'll finish 9-7, but probably miss the playoffs unless the stars line up for them next week. But considering that everyone, including myself, was predicting anywhere from 3-13 to 6-10, the seaon was a moral victory.

Pats could be gaining momentum at the right time of the season.
